Behind The Chair With

HALEEMA MORIATIS VALONZ COLOUR DIRECTOR

As part of the Valonz Group founding team members, Haleema’s thirty plus year career spans far & wide. Her positive approach to life and work “love what you do and show that you love what you do” has sustained a fiercely loyal client list at Valonz. With a legion of loyal clients, she’s done the who’s who of celebrity & influence. As a highly regarded national & international spokesperson & presenter for Wella.

Haleema’s undeniable talent has seen her travel the globe as a Wella Guest artist in far flung locations such as Finland,  Portugal & presenting in the Grand Carney islands to an audience of over 1500 eager hairdressers. Later this year, she will present in Greece. Having worked on numerous Wella global advertising campaigns, she has worked alongside hair greats such as Romeu Felipe, Tracey Cunningham & Nicola Clarke of London.  As Valonz’s Creative Director Renya Xydis’s go - to on all colour trends and techniques, these two hair giants make a formidable duo in the Australian Hairdressing landscape.

So, what makes this colour whisperer so successful with her clientele?

“I’m a classic colourist, I am a blonde specialist, my clients know that I can mix that “just right” colour to suit them, my aim is for natural looking results – healthy strong hair is the goal. I can get the foil work so close to the roots you would think it sprouted from their heads! I know the technical colour side of colour, so I know how to work around colour problems – I’m known as 'the Blonde Dr' but throw any colour at me – no problem, I’ll make it magical” says Haleema.

Haleema has trained some of Australia’s most recognised colourists & salon owners & gives the best colour detox in the business, the mathematician of hair colour. Haleema’s passion drives her finely honed technical ability and her brilliantly precise colouring techniques. She is constantly applying new technology, techniques, and knowledge.  As a leading educator at Valonz, she is inspiring and guiding the team day to day and in intense workshops.

“I love delivering classic with an edge,” she says and is as comfortable with her regular clients as the many A-list actresses and celebrities she nurtures. Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, Natalie Portman Miranda Otto, Rebecca Gibney, Natalie Imbruglia and Collette Dinnigan.”
